Our family had an amazing time yesterday visiting Frog Hollow Farm to pick some fabulous fresh peaches, listen to music and have a picnic. Normally the farm is not open to the public, but since we take part of their CSA program, we were able to attend this event. Sofia loved the music, spending time with Daddy, and meandering around the orchard. We can’t wait to visit again.
I’m so excited to share this month’s blog hop with you, because I am absolutely in love with this card collection we are going to share with you! The brand new Moments Like These cards from Stampin’ Up! – Project Life are incredibly beautiful. I think I’ll be using these cards over and over again this year!
One of my favorite things about them is the color theme. They feature some of the new Stampin’ Up! 2015-2017 In Colors, like Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. Additionally, there are some awesome black and white cards in this collection as well!
My favorite is the Mint Macaron. It’s a gorgeous soft green color and I adore it! I used it to scrapbook some lovely photos that one of my favorite photographers took of my daughter when she was 9 months old.
These cards can also be used for traditional 12 x 12 layouts as well. Here I just quickly grabbed a few cards and placed them with a photo I took of Sofia at the kitchen table. She always looks so happy when it’s time for a snack! This layout was inspired by a beautiful scrapbook page by the oh-so-creative Alex Hunter Designs.
I love the little peek of Watermelon Wonder color, especially when paired with black. Normally bright colors aren’t my favorite, but I just adore this one!
Sometimes a black and white card theme is fun too, and these cards are perfect for that as well. Another fabulous brand new product is the Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper. Since those designer papers are black and white patterned, they are super easy to quickly trim down to the size of Project Life cards and slip into the page protectors. Then I just mix and matched them with the black and white cards in the Moments Like These card collection.
Often when I’m journaling on a Project Life card, I will print directly onto the card from my home computer. (For how I do that, see my super easy tutorial here.) My current favorite font (inspired by Caillou) is Futura.
I love the pop of the red berries against the black and white cards.
Finally, here is another 12 x 12 layouts with a few stamps and washi tape, using my new favorite color- Mint Macaron.

I love the Happiness Is Stampin’ Up!-Project Life card collection, so I was thrilled that this collection is this month’s theme for the MK PLxSU Design Team’s Blog Hop.
I’m working my way through my scrapbooking for the last few months and these are just a few pages from some typical days around the house with my daughter. I love how easy it is to get scrapbooking done with Project Life!
I used the Skinny Mini Alphabet stamp set a few times with these pages. I just love this alphabet stamp and use it all the time! It’s being retired this year so make sure to grab it while you can.
I printed my journaling directly onto this card. For my tutorial on how I do this (super easy!) click here.
I used the “Happy” and “&” stamps from the Countless Sayings 2 stamp set along with the Skinny Mini stamps. I also used the washi tape from the Happiness Is Accessory Pack along with the journaling that I printed onto Sahara Sand cardstock that I cut out and placed on the 3×4 card. I actually had never used washi tape until I started using Stampin’ Up! and now I absolutely love it!
This wreath from the Your Perfect day stamp set is one of my newest favorite stamps. It’s great using it as a border around a smaller stamp. Here I used the “Picture Perfect” stamp from the Project Life Remember This stamp set, which is one of my favorite overall stamp sets to use for Project Life and scrapbooking in general.
One great thing about this card collection is that the colors coordinate with the Stampin’ Up! Moonlight Designer Series paper stack. I grabbed a few of these pages and trimmed them to 4×6 and used them as cards along with the actual collection.
Thanks for looking…now make sure to hop over to the other Design Team members’ creations!
“A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP” – Leonard Nimoy’s final tweet, February 22, 2015.
Although I have never been a huge Star Trek fan, I have so many friends who are, and it’s clear how important Leonard Nimoy was to so many people. Even I found his last tweet to be very moving, and so relevant to something that is so dear to me – preserving memories though photography and scrapbooking.
I love capturing sweet moments with my friends and family. Here are some of my favorite photographs of my husband and daughter.
Oh Hobbes. Daddy still gives you so much love, but Mommy is so busy with your little sister nowadays. So glad I took you out tonight to capture a few memories with you.
Things are so different now, but I know that soon she’ll be your BFF. Until then, keep tolerating her when she demands that you sit next to her time and time again when she’s reading her books.
